Greetings from Manila!
Hello everybody!
Here you can see "beautiful" Manila - enjoy the smog, the slums, the cockroaches ... ( =

The next days I will try to insert my own pictures, so be excited! I just finished my working day, today I worked from 8.30 - 17.00. I painted the whole day Christmas Cards! Wow, you wouldn't believe how tiring this is...
At the moment I change between all the programs, for example this week I'm working in the Adoption School Program. The Adoption Program is great, it gives the possibility to over 800 children to go to school. They are sponsored mostly by European or American or Asian families. This "adoption parents" pay about 300 Dollar a year for one child, so they can buy a school uniform, books and are able to pay the fees for a public school.
So now we are making Christmas Cards for all the families who sponsor our children to thank them.
Bukas Palad is really an amazing project, they do so much to enhance the situation of the people here, especially for the children to give them the possibility to go to school so that they have the chance for a better life.
Everybody in Bukas Palad is so nice, the people are really happy with what they have, they are smiling a lot and I never heard them moaning about their situation. They are really brave.
Today we sang Christmas Songs all together which was great fun. I've already tried a lot of different philippine food and you will be surprised but it's good! ( =
A lot of rice so. Filipinos have rice for breakfast, lunch and dinner...
Here is another picture for you, from the slums...
It's exactly looking like this.

The last weekend Theresa and I did sightseeing!!
We visited Rizal Park, the opening of the Southeast Asian Sea Games (Olympics) which was like a festival with concerts and lots of young people - cool!!
And on Sunday we've been at Intramourus - the old spanish rich part of the city...
And next week we want to go to China Town, so it's not boring here, and we always have something to do!
I have to go now, it's getting dark and dangerous ( =
Ok, my best wishes here from Manila,
Stephanie
